World Theatre Day was first observed in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI).

ITI is a worldwide organization that promotes international exchange in theatre arts and promotes the values of UNESCO.

The idea of World Theatre Day was proposed by the ITI founder, Arvi Kivimaa, during the organization’s ninth world congress in Helsinki, Finland.

The proposal was unanimously accepted, and the first World Theatre Day was celebrated on March 27, 1962.

Since then, World Theatre Day has been celebrated every year on March 27 to promote theatre arts and to bring attention to its importance in our lives.

The day is celebrated by organizing theatre events, performances, and workshops worldwide.

The Vedic Heritage Portal was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

The main objective of the portal is to provide a deeper understanding of the Vedic knowledge tradition.

According to Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy, the Vedic Heritage portal now has audio-visual recordings of the four Vedas.

These recordings contain over 18,000 mantras of the four Vedas, with a total duration of over 550 hours.

Project “Vrihattar Bharat” -

Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts Member Secretary Dr Sachchidanand Joshi informed that IGNCA is currently working on a project titled "Vrihattar Bharat".

It aims to document the cultural linkages of India with 40 other countries, including Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Mongolia.

At an event held in Tikli Village, Haryana to commemorate the International Day of Forests, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, unveiled the Aravalli Green Wall Project, which aims to green the 5 km buffer area around the Aravalli Hill Range in four states.

About Aravalli Green Wall Project -

The Aravalli Green Wall Project is a significant undertaking aimed at afforesting the 5 km buffer zone around the Aravalli Hill Range in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi.

The project is part of the Union Environment Ministry’s efforts to create green corridors throughout the country to combat land degradation and desertification.

Aravalli Hills -

The Aravalli Range, running southwest from near Delhi and passing through southern Haryana and Rajasthan before terminating in Gujarat, is one of the world’s oldest fold mountains.

The range’s highest peak, Guru Shikhar, reaches a height of 1,722 metres (5,650 ft).

The Aravalli Hills are the source of three significant rivers – Banas, Sahibi, and Luni River, which flows into the Rann of Kutch.

A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has discovered a new species of Moray Eel fish from the Cuddalore coast in Tamil Nadu.

The new species has been named "Gymnothorax Tamilnaduensis" after Tamil Nadu and has been given the common name of "Tamil Nadu brown moray eel".

This discovery increases the number of Gymnothorax species in Indian waters from 28 to 29, and is the first to be found in the south-eastern coast of India in the Bay of Bengal.

About Moray Eels -

Moray Eels occur in all tropical and subtropical seas, they live in shallow water among reefs and rocks.

They are known for two types of jaws: one is regular (oral) jaws with big teeth and the second jaw is called the pharyngeal jaw (which drags prey inside the eels stomach).

There IUCN red list status is Least Concern.

Exercise Vayu Prahar: Indian Army and Air Force carried out a 96-hour joint exercise named "Vayu Prahar" in the eastern region.

Recently, during the on-going tensions between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the Indian Army and Air Force carried out a 96-hour joint exercise named ’Vayu Prahar’ in the eastern region.

The exercise aimed to develop plans to achieve synergy in multi-domain operations by using air and land forces.

It was conducted in the second week of March, and its primary objective was to enhance coordination between the Army and Air Force for effective operations in a multi-domain battlefield.

The primary objective of the Vayu Prahar exercise was to facilitate coordination and practice among different agencies for swift mobilization, transportation, and deployment of forces within a specific area, which can be implemented across different areas.

It is known that there are approximately seven to eight ALGs located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

This state lies in the eastern sector of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China.

Hockey India, the main executing body of the Hockey game has been honoured with the "Best Organizer Award" by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF).
